Some observers have their theories as to why it's a sensation but, for me, tonight's cameos in the studio audience of "Dancing with the Stars" are an excellent reminder of what is so weird and wonderful about the program: Bruce Jenner! Florence Henderson! Lisa Loeb! Lance Bass! They all love the dancing apparently. I love everything from the gravity-defying costumes to the over-the-top enthusiasm of the hosts who warn us the celebs are about to perform "the most important dance of their lives!" to the nameless back-up singers who perform everything from standards to Michael Jackson on any given night. Screw American Idol, that takes talent. After tonight's performances, my money is on Apolo the Olympian and Joey Fats to move on to the final.
